Stuck in Lodi, Again

After 3 1/2 years, I jumped at Lodi today.  My lack of visits there wasn’t really planned, I just always seemed to end up at Byron or Davis every time I was down here.  And since I’ve moved, I’ve been having fun jumping at Davis.

But my friend Fozz was doing his 500th jump today and invited Sean and I to come up and join him.  I got in three fun smaller jumps (6 and 7) before the “sunset” load for the 500th.  I use the term sunset loosely, as I really think I did my first night jump.  The good news about that is that I’m much less terrified to do a real night jump.   I landed safely in the landing area (which at least was lighted, like a night jump would be), and it wasn’t as bad as I would have expected.  Unless I get a good opportunity before that, I’ll probably do night jumps at the American Boogie next year.

At any rate, it was a fun jump and a fun day.
