Stuck in Lodi, Again

Posted by on November 22, 2008

After 3 1/2 years, I jumped at Lodi today.  My lack of visits there wasn’t really planned, I just always seemed to end up at Byron or Davis every time I was down here.  And since I’ve moved, I’ve been having fun jumping at Davis.

But my friend Fozz was doing his 500th jump today and invited Sean and me to come up and join him.  I got in three fun smaller jumps (6 and 7) before the “sunset” load for the 500th.  I use the term sunset loosely, as I really think I did my first night jump.  The good news about that is that I’m much less terrified to do a real night jump.   I landed safely in the landing area (which at least was lighted, like a night jump would be), and it wasn’t as bad as I would have expected.  Unless I get a good opportunity before that, I’ll probably do night jumps at the American Boogie next year.

At any rate, it was a fun jump and a fun day.
